Worldwide Sport Supply, Vestal, NY:
When the racking system was set up at World Wide
Sport Supply, the existing 400W Metal Halide
fixture layout was set up for an open warehouse
space. Because of this, the lighting in the
isles between the racking was inefficient, and
it was difficult for the picking staff to
effectively see items on the shelving. To
alleviate this, Eastern Energy Solutions
redesigned the layout with 4 Lamp T-8
Fluorescent High Bay fixtures to work with their
current layout. The result was an efficient and
effective lighting system that gave the
increased light levels needed to work in the
isles. At the same time we were able to reduce
the energy consumption in that area by 51%!

American Pipe & Plastics, Binghamton, NY:
As part of a facility-wide lighting retrofit,
this pipe storage area received 6 lamp T-8 High
Bay Fluorescent fixtures in replacement of the
existing 400 Watt High Bay Metal Halide
fixtures. The result was an increase of 20%-30%
in foot-candles, increased CRI and 51% in power
savings.

Beaver Mountain Log & Cedar Homes, Deposit, NY:
As part of the lighting retrofit of the
manufacturing plant at Beaver Mountain Log &
Cedar Homes, this sawmill area was retrofitted
from high bay 400W Metal Halide fixtures to 6
lamp T-8 High Bay Fluorescent fixtures. The
effects here were a dramatic increase in foot
candles and CRI, along with 51% in power
savings.

Best Western, Johnson City, NY:
The outdoor building façade lighting at the Best
Western was too dark and uninviting. To
accompany their complete renovation of the
outside of the hotel we designed a lighting
system that would show off their new crown
molding and make it one of the nicest looking
hotels in that area. It really stands out from
the highway!

Court Jester East, Binghamton, NY:
As part of the design of this new premier
exercise and spa facility, the spinning area
came out as beautiful as planned. Here are some
photos during construction and the final product.

Cleaner Supply, Conklin, NY:
As part of a complete relighting of the Cleaner
Supply manufacturing and warehouse areas, these
aged 1000 Watt High Bay metal halide fixtures in
the isle racking areas were replaced by 6 lamp
High Bay T-5 Fluorescent Fixtures. The result
was much better lighting for the pickers in
these isles. Foot candles and CRI were
increased, along with a 68% savings in power.

Davis College, Binghamton, NY:
The gymnasium at Davis College was one of the
most favorite areas of the students and faculty
after completion of the campus wide lighting
retrofit. With a 40% increase in foot candles
you could even notice the difference in photos
taken of the basketball team before and after
the retrofit. Plus, by adding motion sensors to
some of the fixtures, we were able to increase
savings even more by being able to keep the
majority of the fixtures off when not in use.
Before the 400W Metal Halide fixtures needed to
be left on the entire day because of long
re-strike periods. The existing 400W Metal
Halide high bays were retrofitted with the 6
Lamp T-8 Fluorescent High Bay fixtures with a
polycarbonate lens and wire cage. Including the
motion sensors, the total power savings was an
amazing 74%!

Hamilton Central School, Hamilton, NY:
The one for one retrofit of the 400W Metal
Halide high bay fixtures to 6 Lamp T-8
Fluorescent High Bays with a polycarbonate lens
and wire cage in the main gymnasium at Hamilton
Central School gave the extra lumens that they
were looking for. With a 15% increase in foot
candles and a dramatic increase in CRI, there
was still a 51% power savings over the existing
fixtures.

Matthews Chrysler, Vestal, NY:
The lighting replacement in the service area of
Matthews Chrysler consisted of retrofitting the
Low Bay 400W Metal Halide fixtures with high
power 6 Lamp Fluorescent fixtures and
retrofitting the work bench fixture with high
power and reflectance T-8 strip fixtures. The
result was much better lighting for the
mechanics to work in. They achieved a 51%
savings in energy consumption, whiter light and
increased foot candles and color rendering
index.

Chenango Ice Rink, Chenango Bridge, NY:
This dramatic lighting change at the Chenango
Ice Rink took place when we replaced the
antiquated recessed 400W High Bay Metal Halide
fixtures with 6 Lamp High Bay Fluorescent
fixtures with a polycarbonate lens and a wire
cage. The new fixtures give a much more complete
light spread and there are now no dark spots on
the ice rink. Again here there was a moderate
increase in foot candles, a big increase in CRI
and a 51% savings in energy consumption.

Rocco J. Testani, Binghamton, NY:
In this distribution warehouse area at Rocco J.
Testani, the 250W High Pressure Sodium high bays
were replaced one for one with 4 Lamp T-8
Fluorescent High Bays with a polycarbonate lens.
The increase in foot candles and color rendering
index made for a tremendous improvement for the
staff working in that area. There was a 47%
savings in energy consumption here.
